Like numerous other up and coming Cleveland area bands, Kill Shawn’s Head’s
roots can be traced back to the now defunct hotbed of independent
and DIY talent: The Green Room in Lakewood.

Kill Shawn’s Head was born in the summer of 2003 as a two-piece featuring Jamie,
who had been playing bass in another band called Kid Tested, on guitar, bass, and
vocals and Roseanna, formerly of Pudding & Fruit pounding out the beats. After
playing a few shows, the duo decided to expand by enlisting the vocal talents of
Carrie, another Green Room alumnus and keyboardist/vocalist in the band
Machine Go Boom. To round out this first expansion, Jamie and Roseanna called
on longtime friend Sherry to add the low end.

After about a year of playing various venues in the Cleveland area and in Buffalo,
NY, the girls were tossing around the idea expanding once again to include another
guitarist, so they put the word out amongst their friends. That’s when another long-
time friend and guitarist/lead vocalist/frontman for the band Neo-Nothing stepped up.

Enter Davis. Davis attended the next Kill Shawn’s Head practice and while initially
the band planned to try out a few different candidates, it soon became apparent
that wouldn’t be necessary. Davis was the perfect addition. His artistry and
extensive experience quickly pushed the band up the evolutionary ladder and
added a much needed dimension to the music.

And they don’t hate Shawn. In fact, they are quite fond of him.
